1.11.2025 3.30-5.30 pm The Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025 was inaugurated at ICAR-DOGR, Pune by the Director, Scientists and Technical staff members. The session marked the formal commencement of the Pakhwada celebrations commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The Director addressed the gathering and emphasized the contributions of tribal communities in agriculture and the importance of socio-economic developments through scientific advancements.

2.11.2025 3.30–5.30 pm As part of the Education and Skill Development initiative on the second day of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025, ICAR-DOGR, Pune organized a field demonstration on onion transplanting techniques. The session aimed to enhance technical knowledge and skill efficiency among farm workers and trainees.

3.11.2025 3.30–5.30 pm The third day of the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025, ICAR-DOGR, Pune conducted an interactive session themed “Livelihood and Entrepreneurship”, emphasizing SHGs, Startups and Tribal Product Branding. Dr V Mahajan, Director inspired participants about the importance of the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. Dr A J Gupta, Pr. Scientist/ Nodal Officer, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2025 briefed about Govt. of India programs includes TSP, SCSP and NEH schemes for tribal farmers.

4.11.2025 7.30–8.30 am As part of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025, ICAR-DOGR, Pune observed the theme “Health and Wellness” through a morning yoga session organized for all staff members. The program included stretching, pranayama and meditation practices aimed at improving physical fitness and mental calmness. The event reinforced the message of healthy living and wellness at the workplace.

5.11.2025 3.30–5.30 pm The ICAR-DOGR, Pune celebrated the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025 by showcasing a display on GI-tagged crops such as Alibaug White Onion of Raigad while the Indrayani Rice of Pune, which is cultivated in Bursewadi village of Khed Taluka, a tribal area where ICAR-DOGR is implementing the Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) for farmer’s livelihood improvement.

6.11.2025 3.30–5.30 pm The ICAR-DOGR, Pune celebrated the sixth day of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025 on the theme “Culture and Heritage”, in collaboration with students from the College of Agricultural Biotechnology, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The event highlighted by a video showcasing various tribal cultures of India was screened, depicting the vibrant traditions, art forms, outfit, music and agricultural practices of different tribal communities across the country.

7.11.2025 3.30–5.30 pm Under Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025, ICAR-DOGR Pune conducted the theme “Infrastructure Development” by organizing a visit for students to showcase the institute’s advanced research and field facilities. Agri-polytechnic diploma students from COA, Baramati were given an exposure visit to Onion and Garlic research trials, Demo block, irrigation systems, polyhouses and bulb and seed storage facilities, showcasing how scientific infrastructure supports sustainable agriculture and tribal livelihoods.

8.11.2025 3.30–5.30 pm As a part og Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025, ICAR-DOGR, Pune observed the theme “Governance and Institutional Strengthening” by showcasing the impactful contributions of Dr AJ Gupta, Principal Scientist/Nodal Officer (TSP). He conducted 73 training programs as well as Kisan Sangoshthi including 1,245 field demonstrations under the TSP scheme from 2012 to till now and have empowered over 7,000 farmers by significantly enhancing the adoption of improved onion technologies of ICAR-DOGR across the country. Moreover, the inputs like fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, weedicides and minor implements have also been distributed to the selected farmers under TSP.

9.11.2025 3.30–5.30 pm On the ninth day of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025, ICAR-DOGR, Pune observed the theme “Awareness of Ongoing Schemes and Field Presence.” An awareness session was organized to highlight key government initiatives and ICAR programs contributing to agricultural and rural development. The session highlighted major programs such as TSP, SCSP and MGMG of ICAR-DOGR along with national initiatives like the launch of PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana and Dalhan Self-Reliance Mission by the Hon’ble Prime Minister was also conducted on 11th Oct 2025 emphasizing inclusive agricultural growth and institutional outreach.

10.11.2025 3.30–5.30 pm Continuing the series of activities under Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025, ICAR-DOGR Pune showcased its commitment to digital empowerment and sustainable growth by demonstrating advanced mobile-based advisory platforms and incubation support systems designed for farmers and entrepreneurs. The institute showcased its Onion and Garlic Crop Advisor mobile applications and the Agri-Business Incubation Centre, empowering tribal and smallholder farmers through digital technology and sustainable agripreneurship.
